Ginger Durrill

August 31, 1964 ~ February 5, 2021 (age 56) 56 Years Old

Obituary

On Friday, Feb 5, 2021 we unexpectedly lost our sister, Ginger (Peaches) Durrill.   Memories of Ginger will live in the hearts and minds of those she interacted with as well as those she never met in person.

Ginger grew up in Calallen and graduated Texas A&M in 1987.  She enlisted in the Navy in 1989, earning her helicopter pilots license before separating to join the Houston Police Department.

Ginger loved to share... movies, games, her home, her time, her laughter, her essence.  She had a remarkable ability to take things in stride and to live carefree. Her home was a safe haven for all ... friends, family, dogs, cats, guinea pigs and alike. She would stop to help anyone in need with open arms and a smile. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, devotion to friends and family and her service in the community. Ginger, you will be missed.

Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Dusty Durrill and her sister, Devary Durrill.  Survived by Christian Guevara, Bill Durrill, Micki Durrill , James Gourley, Shawn, and Melissa Holtz;  Ginger’s Nieces and Nephews, Matt and Riley Gourley, Avery, Billy and Conner Durrill, Garrett and Kaden Holtz.

A visitation will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Seaside Reid Chapel. A funeral service is to take place at 12 noon, that same day, with interment to follow.
