Harry Clyde Call, 63, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was born on October 17, 1953 to Leo R. Call, Sr. and Elsie Jurica Call in Corpus Christi, TX.
Harry graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1972. He graduated from Del Mar College in 1974 with an Associate of Applied Science-Police Science. In 1976 he graduated from Texas A & I Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science – Police Science. At the age of 18 he began his career with Corpus Christi Electric Company, which would become his lifelong career for 45 years. He was very devoted to his job and loved working there. Harry was an exceptionally easy-going, loving, caring, and humble man with a contagious smile. Harry loved both the Houston Astros and Corpus Christi Hooks baseball teams. He also loved riding his motorcycle and bicycling with his wife. He spent many fun times at Padre Island. His pets played an important role in his life. Harry fought a valiant battle up until the very end, but his suffering has now ended. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, uncle, friend, and employee of Corpus Christi Electric Company.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Shane Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Kathleen Dornfeld Call; brother, Leo R. Call, Jr. (Cyndie); sister, Joyce Call Johnson (Lowell); nephews: Alex Dornfeld and Loren Johnson (Katie) and their children- Camille and Graeme; nieces: Mallery Johnson, Wendy Call Crow (Tom) and their children- Courtney and Kaycee, Stacey Call Johnson (Brent), Stephanie Dornfeld Stakes (Jason) and their children- Harrison and Brady, Brother – in – law: William B. Dornfeld, Jr. (Blanca).
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Viewing will be held at the church at 12:30 p.m. with the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 808 Louisiana Ave., in Corpus Christi, TX. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
