Helen Temperly

Helen L. Temperly, 96, passed away November 11, 2018.  She was born on July 19, 1922 to Charles W. and Anna Trask in Independence, Missouri.  She married her husband of 51 years, Ralph Temperly on April 19, 1945.   Her husband, Ralph Temperly, and son, Ralph Temperly Jr., preceded her in death.

She is survived by her older brother Richard Trask, a Bataan Death March survivor.  She is survived by her daughter, Sally Gavlik, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two grandsons, Ken and wife Tisha Gavlik, Corpus Christi, Texas; Shawn Gavlik and finance Tracey Shores of Corpus Christ, Texas.  Family includes 7 Great Grandchildren:  Brittany Gavlik of Nashville, Tennessee and Cailin, Hailey, Chancellor and Jaclyn Gavlik of Waco, Texas.  Ashley Shores and James Shores of Corpus Christi Texas. Cousins include Becky and Norman Cade of Georgia; Richard and Kathie Trask of New Mexico; Charles and Janet Trask of New Mexico; Doug and Mary Gaull of Kansas and Don and Abby Gaull of Florida.

She spent 96 years loving, pursuing adventures with her family including spending her 90th birthday in Hawaii.  She saw the beauty in every day and every person she met.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
