Henry Villarreal, age 77, of Corpus Christi passed away the morning of July 15, 2017 with his family by his side.
Henry was a graduate of Miller High School and then enlisted in the Army in 1963. After leaving the Army, Henry married the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Rodriguez) on September 2, 1967. In 50 years they rarely spent a night apart up until he went to meet the Lord and to prepare for his beloved Mary to join him someday.
Henry leaves behind his wife of nearly 50 years, his two daughters, Melissa Balgenorth and her husband Bryan, Martha Arnolds and her husband Anthony; 6 grandchildren, Bryanna, Taylor, Erika, Mary, Elizabeth, and Edward; his 3 great grandchildren Alessondra, Louisa, and Avery; his brother Ines Villarreal; his two sisters Mere Rios and San Juanita Canals.
Henry had many loves, the Cowboys, gardening, listening to Elvis, being with family and photography were among them. Henry was never without his camera, and seemed always to capture the best moments on film. One of his greatest gifts was to always be able to put a smile on your face. His smile rarely left his own face.
We are profoundly sad to say goodbye to Henry and greatly relieved that he is finally at peace with our Lord.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment is to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
