Hermesinda R Trejo

Hermesinda R. Trejo, age 76, passed away on November 11, 2020. She was born on August 15, 1944 to Jose and Andrea Rodriguez in Alice, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married her husband, Homer Trejo Sr, on February 18, 1963. They shared 30 years together before his passing.
She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs play, dancing and listening to music. Hermesinda will always be remembered for her sense of humor, devotion to her family, her “A-ha” jokes. She always had great stories about picking cotton with her siblings. She loved watching her game shows like family feud and Jeopardy. She liked solving crossword puzzles. She perfected the mother’s stare with one eyebrow. Mom was a provider for her mom Andrea, husband Homer Sr, son Homer Jr and sister Anita.
Hermesinda is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Andrea Rodriguez; husband Homer Trejo Sr; son Homer Trejo Jr; siblings Ercilia Garcia and Anita Trevino. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Jacqueline (Christopher) Saenz; son Fernando U. Trejo; grandchildren Katrina DeLeon, Melisa DeLeon, Homer Trejo III; great-grandson Jonathon Bustamante Jr; brothers Jose (Helen) Rodriguez and Alfredo (Loy) Rodriguez; sisters Inez Pena and Mary Garza and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Corpus Christi Cathedral. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are: Christopher Saenz, Fernando Trejo, Alfredo Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Peter Gomez and Homer Trejo III.
