Howard Lord, was born on May 21, 1935, and died on April 5, 2021. He was born in Caledonia, Minnesota, to Raymond Lord and Florence Stadtler Lord. He was baptized, had first communion and confirmation at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Caledonia. He attended Catholic school in the community. He is a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Howard lived and worked in many parts of the United States and the world. He worked in the Midwest, including Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. In 1967, he moved to Florida and worked at Cape Kennedy, and in 1980 he went overseas with Chicago Bridge and Iron, where he worked for twenty years. Much of that time he was a superintendent working on the oil tanks. He worked in such countries as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, South Africa, and Ghana. He loved the adventure of being in foreign lands and loved to talk about these places. Howard retired in 2000 and bought a hobby “ranch” in Calallen, Texas. He was able to have his horses, dogs and other trappings of the country life that he enjoyed. He always wanted to be a cowboy and live in Texas. He got his wish. He sold the “Ranch” a couple of years ago when his health started to fail, and moved to Corpus Christi.
