James C. Parks

James C. Parks, age 95, passed away on September 29, 2021. He was born on January 19, 1926 to Leonard and Verna Jane Parks in Quanah, TX. He served in the Navy from 1943-1946 as a Fireman First Class.

James Parks married his wife, Pauline Parks of 74 years on May 16, 1947. He was employed by Burroughs Corp. James Parks was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather.

James Parks enjoyed family, hunting, fishing and camping. He will always be remembered for his faith, sense of humor, dedication to family and fixer of anything broken or in need of repair!

James Parks is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Verna Jane Parks; brother, Melvin Parks and son, Jeffery Parks.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Pauline Parks; son, Jim Parks (Susan Parks); son, Mike Parks (Connie Parks); son, Steve Parks (Pam Parks); grandchildren, Russell Parks (Lauren Parks), Ross Parks (Holly Parks), David Parks, Melissa Butler (Justin Butler), Jennifer Strowmatt (Nathan Strowmatt), Priscilla Sturm (Zane Sturm), Jeffrey Parks; great-grandchildren, Norah Butler, Claire Butler, Clayton Parks, Tesslynn Strowmatt, Hailey Parks, Alice Butler, Halle Rae Sturm and two on the way!

A Graveside Service was held for the family on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Seaside Memorial Park.
