Obituary

Jeri Shirley Kolpack, age 85, passed away March 20, 2023. She was born on August 18, 1937 to John and Minnie Page in Galveston, TX. She was raised in the Galveston & Houston area. She studied business in a business school in Austin, TX. She married Dude Stelfox, who owned a mechanic garage, then adopted her beautiful son Gregory. Once her first husband passed, she went on to marry Jerry Butler who served in state legislature. Together they owned the “Embers” club on Everhart, which is now “Ropers”. When he passed, she married her last husband, Arnold Kolpack in January of 1978. She managed commercial real estate for her husband’s company, Industrial Salvage Co.

Jeri was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi and loved helping others in any way she could, which included volunteering at the Food Bank and any functions she was able to. She loved the arts, going to the Symphony with her granddaughter Maegan and performed with the Corpus Christi Ballet’s The Nutcracker in 2004 and 2005, and also country danced from time to time. Jeri enjoyed her morning coffee while reading the newspaper, she loved her dog “Bronco” and cat “Kitty” and keeping up with current events. She also enjoyed her Friday mornings with a Jewish women’s group, and she attended Torah study every Friday evening until she became ill. Her granddaughter and great-granddaughter were the light of her life. She will always be remembered for her vivaciousness, tenacity, strong will, love of learning, and her service in the community.

Jeri is preceded in death by her first husband Dude Stelfox, second husband Jerry Butler, third husband Arnold Kolpack, brother, and her son Gregory. Left to cherish her memories are her sister Molly Page Neugebauer, granddaughter Maegan Stelfox, great-granddaughter Peyton Stelfox, grandson Gage Johnston, niece Lynette, nephew Michael, many friends, and all who knew her.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Seaside Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
