I was fortunate to work with Jo both as my nursing instructor and later as a coworker. I will remember Jo as I think anyone would want to be reflected upon as a nurse- smart, thoughtful, patient, and just great to be around. I have no doubt she positively touched so many lives in ways we can't imagine as a mother, friend, nurse, leader, and instructor. She set a strong example for all of us.

Jo was my little sister, my best friend, my rock, and my earthly savior, who is now a resident of the Heaven she came from. I am so proud of her. She was a wonderful mother and my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to her adorning daughters -- Erica and Reana. I wish there was a Purple Heart for her courageous fighting in the War on Cancer.. She fought so many battles and won a few -- but ultimately lost the war.. I cannot imagine my life without her in it..
I love you and miss you Jo...

Jo was passionate, brilliant, witty, beautiful and had an AWESOME sense of humor. She raised two beautiful women who loved her so very much! When she saw a wrong she wanted right. She not only was a coworker then boss and during all that we became very close friends. I could go visit her at home during her tough battle and somehow I was able to get her laughing through her pain. JoJo may you rest in peace!
With a heavy heart,
Your friend
Maggie
