Joe A. Leos, age 77, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021. He was born October 5, 1943 to Rafael and Maria Leos in Ganado, Texas and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He proudly served his country as a mechanic in the US Army. Joe married, Lydia Leos of 19 years on November 18, 1978. He was employed by Corpus Christi Army Depot, retiring in 2015 after 35 years of service. Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Joe mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He played his harmonica for anyone who would listen and was always ready with a joke. He spent time gardening, fishing, BBQ-ing, watching his western movies, and playing horseshoes with his sons. He never met a stranger and although he is going to be greatly missed we are certain that he was warmly welcomed and reunited with loved ones in heaven.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Leos and Maria Capelo Leos; brothers, Camilo and Leonardo “Lee” Leos.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons,Joseph, Jeremiah, Joshua (Lana), and Jacob (Selina); grandchildren, Eliana, Jeremiah, Ayden, Addyson, Liam, and J.D.; siblings, Thelma (Don), Atilano “Tilo”, Benita (Bill), and Dora (Jim) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday August 2, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
