Joel Ayala

Joel Ayala, age 44, passed away on October 26, 2020. He was born on February 21, 1976 to Joe Ayala and Yvonne Perez in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, where he graduated from Ray High School in 1994. Joel was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Joel enjoyed watching his favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys. He will always be remembered for his bright personality, telling jokes, family cookouts, watching movies with the family, he especially loved watching WWE wrestling. Joel loved spending quality time with his nephews and nieces.

Joel Ayala is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Noe and Rebecca Ayala; his maternal grandparents, Lorenzo and Santiaga Perez; his aunt, Margarita Poles; and his uncle, Larry E. Stoker.

He is survived by his loving mother, Yvonne Perez (Hopie); his loving father, Joe Luis Ayala (Cindy); his sister, Yvette M. Mendez (Cris); his brothers, John Daniel Ayala (Mary) and Joshua Ayala, Sr. (Jacque); his half sisters, Elizabeth Ayala and Crystal Borrego; his half-brother, Joe Daniel Ayala; 10 nieces and nephews; one great niece and one great nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
