On Saturday, February 6, 2021, John Donald Lancaster, Jr. went to see our Heavenly Father where he can rest in comfort and peace. John was born on February 17, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas where he attended St. Patrick’s Catholic school, W. B. Ray High School, Del Mar College, and Corpus Christi State University where he received his Architectural Engineering degree. John is survived by his loving wife, Karen McCullough Lancaster, his caring sister Sandra Lancaster Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was a dedicated sales manager at Bodine Scott Air Conditioning for the past 15 years, and a passionate dog trainer and instructor for the Corpus Christi Obedience Club and Dock Dogs for over 40 years. John’s passion for dogs has made him beloved by many, and especially missed by his Labradors Ellie and Becca.
Johns caring nature and dedicated spirit will also be missed by all those whom relied on his wisdom and counseling at Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 25 years. John was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and floating the Frio River each year.
John’s devotion to family, passion for helping others, and his kindness and humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon, Rosary at 12:30pm, Funeral Mass at 1:00pm, followed by a Interment at 2:30pm at Seaside Memorial Park.
