Jon Kevyn Carter Kinstley

Jon Kevyn-Carter Kinstley died peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, on Wednesday, September 02, 2020. Jon was born August 10, 1965 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in Portland, TX where he was a member of the Gregory-Portland graduating class of 1984. Jon maintained life-long friends, three of which were with him when he passed: Sam Cortez, Ricky Stanford, and Alan Teague. His good friend Roland Rodriguez, fiancé Lori Foster, and son Sammy Kinstley were also privileged to be present. Jon continued his education at Blinn Jr. College as well as Del Mar College. Jon loved history with a passion. He also enjoyed tinkering on cars and spear fishing. Jon was an established marksman and loved going fast on anything that moved. Jon was a 32nd degree Mason as well as a Shriner.

Jon is preceded in death by his grandparents: Harvey Louis Davis & Vonda Mae Tillman Davis, Archie Alric Kinstley & Hattie Myrtle Gosset Kinstley; his father, Paul Sharon Kinstley and his sister Tonya Lea Kinstley Carter.

Jon is survived by his fiancé Lori Roach Foster, his mother Darlene Davis Kinstley and 3 sons, Samuel Paul Kinstley, Cadence James Kinstley and Tyler Christian Kinstley as well as his sister Kelly Kinstley Kimball.

He is also survived by nieces Morgan Ashley Carter, Uli Kimball and Jillian Lea Kimball and nephew Patrick Ross Carter.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.

Immediately after the service we will gather at Brewster’s streets icehouse at 1724 N Tancahua.
