Jose J Alcazar

Jose J. Alcazar, age 74, passed away on December 3, 2022. He was born on December 16, 1947 to Genaro Alcazar and Maria V. Alcazar.

Joe was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1966 and from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Texas in 1976, where he received his drafting degree.

Joe proudly served in the U. S. Air Force from 1966 until 1970 as a sergeant; in the U. S. Army from 1974 until 1976 and in the National Guard Reserves until 1979.

He retired from Flint Hills Resources in Corpus Christi, Texas after working there for more than twenty years.

Joe was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He had a love of family and a love of sports, most especially the University of Texas Longhorns. During his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling and had a sense of adventure.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Genaro Alcazar, father; Maria V. Alcazar, mother; and nephew, Jason Alexander; as well as his grandparents, various aunts and uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 AM with a Rosary to be recited at 11:30 AM on December 12, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home and Cemetery. A funeral service will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on December 12, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are: Brian Raichert, Oscar Ramirez, Brooks Kieschnick, Jesse Minton, Jesse Lopez, and Jerry Taylor.
