Jose Angel Chavez, age 92, passed away January 6, 2022. He was born on April 13, 1929 to Arturo and Guadalupe Chavez in El Naranja Ranch Texas. He was raised in San Benito Texas.
Jose Angel Chavez married Josephine Zamora of 70 years on April 7, 1951.
He was self-employed and owned a small neighborhood grocery store and retired
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and dedicated service at St. Andrews Catholic Church of Houston, Texas.

Jose A Chavez is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josephine Chavez who died on November 21st, 2020.

Left to cherish his memories are, daughter, Juanita D. Chavez Pratt; spouse, Greg Pratt Force Master Chief USN (Retired), who reside in San Antonio Texas; grandchildren, Sabrina Perez; spouse, Ricky Perez who reside in Corpus Christi Texas, Adrian Rene Olalde, who resides in Las Vegas, Nevada; Great grandchildren, Rene Alejandro Perez, Isabella Perez and Roman Perez; daughter, Rosalinda Chavez Myers; spouse, Dale Myers, who reside in Dallas Texas; Grandchildren, Rachael Littell; spouse, Sam Littell who reside in Louisiana; daughter, Cynthia Chavez Chizen; spouse, Robert Paul Chizen who reside in El Paso Texas; son, Joe David Chavez who resides in Corpus Christi Texas and sister, Estella Chavez Rangel; spouse Domingo Rangel who reside in Lakeland, Fl.

Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Seaside Memorial Park, due to the pandemic concerns we are limiting to family only. Masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
