Jose Narvaez, Jr. age 72, passed away August 3rd, 2018. He was born on January 18, 1946 to Jose and Agapita Narvaez in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1965. He married his wife, Linda Narvaez, of forty eight years on February 7, 1970.
Jose aka Malé was employed by the Corpus Christi Army Depot. Jose was a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, great-uncle, compadre and friend. Jose enjoyed coaching sports, working on his rental property, cooking, making his famous bbq, and spending time with his friends and family. Jose was a one of a kind man that knew no strangers. His loving and down to earth personality drew people towards him. He was never judgeful of anyone and always had a positive outlook to any stressful situation. He was a jack of all trades from building a house, cooking the best meals, to repairing a broken curling iron and the list goes on and on. Jose had a priceless sense of humor and the love of laughter. One of Jose’s passions was the love of music which he spent hours listening to. Jose has left numerous friends from all walks of life and respected them all equally a true man who would give his last dime to anyone in need. Lastly, he had the love for God his Creator.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Agapita Narvaez. Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Linda Lopez Narvaez, son: Richard, daughter: Amy Jo, his grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Emilee and Richard (girlfriend Megan), brothers: Nicolas and wife Thelma, Raul and wife Ester, Alejandro and wife Charlotte, Juan and wife Lillian, Ramon, Orlando and his wife Josie, sisters: Virgie Ortega and husband Fred, Angie Flores, Susie Godinez and husband Fernando and chingos of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
