Joseph John Salem

July 1, 1983 ~ May 10, 2022 (age 38) 38 Years Old

Obituary

Joseph John Salem III passed away May 10, 2022 at the age of 38 in New Braunfels, Texas. John is survived by his devoted mother, Libby Edwards Pender, his stepfather Frank Pender, his two loving brothers, Stewart Mann and Price Salem, his father Joseph John Salem Jr., stepmother Sarah Salem, and half sister Bella Salem.

John was born on July 1st, 1983 and was a sweet, caring, happy, outgoing child and beloved son. He grew up loving paintball, swimming, skateboarding, video games, sports, and the family dog, Duke. John lived for adventure, was a huge risk taker, and never backed down from anything or anyone. He loved to scuba dive, travel, read, and made new friends wherever he went. John was beloved not only for his character and integrity, but for his incredible sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face and had a very special way about him that made anyone in the room feel like they belonged. It was a true gift. He had an incredible bond with his nephews, Conlee and Everett, his sister-in-law, Carrie, and every pet the family ever had naturally favored John (because he was the only one who fed them table scraps).

Over the years John worked hand in hand with his Dad in the jewelry store and was the best salesman to ever be in that store, according to his dad. People couldn’t resist him, that was John. He never met a stranger. His wit, personality, care, & concern drew people to him. John was one in a million and had a profound impact on everyone he met.

John was a graduate of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where he received his degree in business. He was a successful business development manager for ITC Global and recently closed the biggest sale of his career.

His service will take place on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Episcopal Church in New Braunfels, followed by a celebration of life and burial Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Corpus Christi at Seaside Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
