Kenneth “Ken” Alan Kaper passed away on Sunday, February 11th, 2018 at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by his family. Born September 24th, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was preceded into Heaven by his mother Ruth Elizabeth “Betty” Kaper and his brother Joseph “Joe” Thomas Kaper.
He will always be loved and remembered by his wife of 32 years, Sofia “Sofie” Kaper. His son, Joseph and Amber Kaper of Corpus Christi, Texas, his daughter, Sarah Kaper and Randall Cobern of Pelham, Alabama and two grandchildren, Isabel and Savanna Kaper. His father, 94 year old WW2 veteran, Joseph John and Ellen Kaper of High Point, North Carolina. His brothers-in-law who he thought more of as “Brothers”, Moses, Vidal (Sylvia) and George De La Cerda, nieces and nephews he loved spending time with, Sally, Duvelsa (Dubie), Amanda (Mandy), Javier (Javi), George (Charles) De La Cerda and Eric Silva.
Graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering he was licensed in Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arizona and Texas where he worked as a Professional Engineer. He loved being around family and friends and always had an “open garage door” policy. He loved his music and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a man of integrity, morals and Family. He loved to take care if his family and will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
