L. Frank Kollaja

L. Frank Kollaja, age 89, passed away on December 28, 2019. He was born on August 9, 1930 to John and Sophie Kollaja in Plum, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, TX. and graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1948. He continued his education at Texas A&I where he graduated from in 1956 with a Bachelor’s Degree. He was a self-employed CPA.

L. Frank Kollaja married his wife, Betty Kollaja, of sixty seven years on April 14, 1952. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed Sunday afternoon drives and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Frank will always be remembered for his love of laughter, quiet nature and the devotion he had to his family.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophie and his siblings, Martha, Alvin, Albert and Eddie. He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Michael, Janet, Eddie (Barbara), Richard (Susan), Anne and Diane (Eric) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
