It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving matriarch, Leonor Acosta Guzman. Leonor was born December 8, 1926 and departed from this earth peacefully on January 28, 2021. She was married to the love of her life, Desiderio Guzman, on July 17, 1943 in Star, Texas and together they created a beautiful life while raising their six children. Leonor was a devoted housewife who loved spending time with her family and creating memories that will last a lifetime. She was a talented seamstress often making beautiful dresses for her daughters and granddaughters. She made it clear that her proudest title was that of Grandma and she was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, with another due in the fall. Leonor knew what true wealth looked like because she saw it every day in the eyes of her family. She imparted strong morals and deep faith into each of her children and grandchildren. On Sundays, you could find her cheering loudly for her Dallas Cowboys. She loved taking trips to Vegas with her daughters and granddaughters. She also selflessly cared for those who needed assistance making the, an extension of her immediate family. Her home was always welcome to everyone and she always had time for a talk. She thoroughly enjoyed making wonderful meals for all to enjoy.

Leonor will be most remembered for her deep green eyes, beautiful complexion, her contagious laughter, big hugs, her warm smile, and her heart of pure gold.
