Luzviminda De Castro Corpuz, age 78, passed away and received the ultimate healing December 18, 2021 in Lihue, Hawaii. She was born on June 12, 1943 to Marciano and Emelia De Castro in Imus Cavite, Philippines. She graduated from University of the East in Manila, Philippines in 1964. She moved to the United States in 1965 where she served as a Registered Nurse for 47 years.
Luzviminda Corpuz married her husband, Rustico Corpuz of 54 years on June 10, 1967. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She enjoyed dancing, cooking and spending time with friends. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, her infectious smile, and her generosity.
Luzviminda is preceded in death by brothers, Romeo De Castro, Ruben De Castro, Lando De Castro and sister, Amparo De Castro.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Rustico Miranda Corpuz; sons, Rodney (Meagan) Corpuz of Lihue, Hawaii and Randy (Amanda) Corpuz of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Tristen Corpuz, Toby Corpuz, Lily Corpuz and Mary Isla Corpuz; brother, Ponciano De Castro of Elk Grove, California; sister, Nely De Castro of Tracy, California and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with an Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Rustico Corpuz, Rodney Corpuz, Randy Corpuz, Tristen Corpuz, Toby Corpuz and Mark Graham.
