Maria Dolores Hernandez

Maria "Mary" D. Hernandez, age 96, passed away January 18, 2022.  She was born on April 8, 1925, to Dolores and Eustacio Del Llano in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mary married her husband, Jose G. Hernandez, of 41 years on September 25, 1946.

She was employed as a seamstress at a military tailor shop during World War II. There was nothing more that Mary enjoyed than being outside tending to her plants. She will always be remembered for her positive attitude and outlook on life. When asked how she was doing, her most common responses were "So far, so good" and "I feel like a millionaire."

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Jose "Shorty Lupe" Hernandez, her parents Dolores and Eustacio Del Llano, her brothers Enrique, Manuel, and David Del Llano, and her grandson Christopher Osbun. 

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Laura (Thomas) Osbun, sons Ernesto (Ann) and Arnulfo (Kelly) Hernandez, grandchildren Erika, Ben, Max, Jeff, Rik, and Maxine, her sisters Lupe Barrera, Ruth Rodriguez, Judy Soliz, and Irma Perez, as well as several nieces and nephews.
