Mary Ann Auforth

Mary Ann Auforth died unexpectedly on September 18th at the age of 86. She was born to Nicholas and Aurora McLandrich on October 31st, 1931 and was raised in Alice, Texas. Mary Ann was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority at the University of Texas and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. There, she met and married her beloved husband, Fred C. Auforth, and they came to Corpus Christi in 1960. They loved to sail and were charter members of the Midget Ocean Racing Fleet. After raising her family, she became Assistant Director of Placement at Del Mar College for nearly 20 years. She was a charter member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, her spiritual home. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, and is survived by her children, Claire Timm (John), Karen Auforth, and Fred C. Auforth III, and her grandchildren, Cortland Timm, Lauren Abrahams (Kevin), Frederic Anderson, and James Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 21, 2018. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
