Mary L Cox

Mary Louise Cox, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2018. She was born on September 4, 1934 to Charles Releigh and Minnie Ruth Croxen in Rock Island, Illinois. She graduated from Brownsville High School in 1953 and attended some college.
She married the love of her life on August 14, 1955.
She worked as a social worker, teacher’s aide, substituted and worked in retail.
She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, attending church, singing in the choir, volunteering and telling jokes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold K. Cox, Jr. and brother David Lee Croxen. She is survived by her brother Howard (Janet) Croxen, son Harold (Tawnie) Cox, daughter Marion (Rick) Bramblett, grandsons, Thomas (Rachel) Olgesby, Jeremy (Kristen) O’Brien, Jonathan O’Brien, Michael Bramblett, Joshua (Kristie) Bramblett, great-grandchildren, Chasey, Cayley, Kenzie, Bella, Breanna, Kiersten, J.J. and Chloe and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by all.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the American Lung Association.
