March 4, 1941 ~ November 3, 2023 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Obituary

Miles Lee Reilley, age 82, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 in Corpus Christi, TX. Miles was a cherished Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He will be truly missed by all those who had the pleasure to be a part of his life. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on March 4th, 1941 to William Lee Reilley and Mary Margaret Willis who precede him in death.

Miles proudly served twenty-two years in the United States Navy before retiring with full honors. After retirement, he eventually settled down in Corpus Christi, where he met his wife of twenty-two years, Judy. Miles and Judy loved each other intently and unfailingly. Without hesitation, he took on her Children and Grandchildren as his own. He quickly became “Papaw”, a badge that he wore with honor.

Miles was a man of conviction, who was passionate about everything he did. He also had a work ethic that was second to none, and stayed actively employed well into his seventies. Even once he finally “retired” from his job in retail sales, he always found something to keep him busy. He Loved to play golf, read, and work on projects around the house. But he also enjoyed the simple things in life, like a nice glass of Scotch, and watching a good western movie beside his beloved wife Judy, and dog Lacey.

Miles is survived by his wife Judy. His son, Michael Sean Springer (Tamra). His daughter Kathleen Kennemer (Hunter). His mother-in-law, Catherin Schmidt Kay. His Stepchildren, Sharon, Susan (Shawn), and David (Jennifer). His ten Grandchildren, Caroline, Jackson, Holden, Ryland, Denton, Taylor, Justin, Shawna (Dwayne), Cody (Caitlin), and Raeleigh. Also, by his two great-grandchildren, Landon and Braylon. He was very proud of each one of them, and loved them all dearly.

Miles will be interred on Thursday, November 16 at 1:00, at Coastal Bend State Veteran’s Cemetery with full military honors.
