Obituary

Milton Lester Corbin, age 99, passed away April 01, 2020. He was born January 17, 1921 to Eugene H. Corbin and Mable Zoe (McCandles) Corbin in Freer, Texas. He was raised in Freer where he graduated from Freer High School in 1939. He served in the US Air Force from 1942 to 1964. His rank was Master Sergeant, he earned many ribbons throughout 22 years of military service. He also had 20 years of C-CAD (Civil Service), was a World War II Veteran. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a teenager, leading him to become a Deacon at his Baptist Church later on in life.

Milton L. Corbin married his wife Georgia Kathleen of 51 years on November 30, 1948. Milton was a loving and faithful husband as well as a caring and patient father.

Milton enjoyed wood working, he will always be remembered for his loving quite nature and devotion to family. He served in the Baptist Church in many different areas. Milton loved his children unconditionally, he was always accepting and helping no matter the circumstances. He watched over us, even as adults, making sure we had what we needed; always making sure we knew we were loved. He loved to make us different wood working items, such as our grandchildren’s rocking horses and toy boxes. He loved to make his grandchildren oatmeal, you could always find him in his chair napping, he especially loved to eat fried chicken, and he had a big love for the USAF and airplanes. We will always remember him taking us to Church and Summer Vacations.

Left to cherish his memories are; sons, Scott L. Corbin, David E. (Susie) Corbin; daughters, Sherry L. Corbin, Deborah A. (Larry) Eddy; eleven grandchildren, Lorena Eddy, Lyle Eddy, Randal Endsley, Corey Endsley, Julie Lancaster, Aaron Corbin, Tabitha Farmer, Coy Carney, Robyn Corbin, Kimberly Herrera, Eian Corbin; nine great-grandchildren, Stephanie Torrez, Jamie Valdez, Katrina Garza, R.J. Endsley, Kiersten Martinez, Julian Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Paige Gonzales, Jon Marc Endsley, Aaron Corbin; 17 great-great-grandchildren, Isaiah Torrez, Elijah Torrez, Tre Torrez, Lilliana Valdez, Audrey Garza, Avery Garza, Mia Garza, Garza Twin Boys, Makayla Martinez, Paisley Martinez, Scarlett Gonzales, Dax Gonzales, Emmett Parker, Wesley Parker, Cecilla Herrera, Roman Herrera; one great-great-great-grandchild, Josie Torrez.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, Interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Seaside Memorial Park.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons Coy Carney, Randy Endsley, Corey Endsley, and Lyle Eddy.

The American Flag, placed on the casket, is a symbol of our father’s love for God, Country, and the United States Air Force.
