Obituary

 

Molly Innis Porcher was born on May 29, 1935 in San Antonio to Mary and Homer Innis. Molly spent her childhood in Beaumont and Corpus Christi. After graduating from W. B Ray high school she attended Del Mar College.

Molly married George Porcher on March 28, 1955. The newlyweds lived in Germany while George was in the Army. They enjoyed many adventures in Europe. Soon after returning to Corpus Christi their children Mark and Kathryn were born. In 1967 they relocated to Houston for George's business. Molly and George retired in Rockport Tx.  Molly passed away peacefully June 1, 2023.   

Molly loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She always had a smile. She enjoyed traveling, cruising, museums, art, reading, coffee, chocolate, shopping, ballet, the Astros, and her dogs.

She is now together with her parents, her husband of 67 years George and her son Mark. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Kathryn and Bill Alger, dearly loved grandchildren Blake and Amy, sister and brother in law Martha and Fred Rigby. She also has 8 nieces and nephews and many close friends. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be at Seaside Memorial Park at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 with the Funeral Service to immediately follow at 10:30am at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers please consider an animal rescue organization. Molly also had an interest in conserving land for protection of future parks and greenspace.
