Moraima P Leal

Moramira Perla Leal, age 83, passed away November 30th 2022. She was born February 14th, 1939 to Pete and Dafena Leyba in Alice Texas. She was raised in Alice, Texas. She graduated from Alice high school in 1956. Perla married her husband Roberto of 62 years on August 14, 1960. She was employed by CCISD. Perla was a loving wife and mother.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and cooking. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, sense of adventure, devotion to her to family and her volunteer work at the Corpus Christi botanical gardens. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Incarnate Word College and master’s degree from A+I Kingsville. She taught music, and was a reading specialist to first and third graders. She loved spending time at the family ranch. She especially enjoyed bird and wild life watching.
Perla is survived by her husband, two children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a world traveler going to Europe and loved Las Vegas.
The family will be have a personal and private ceremony for Perla.
