Nancy J. Bowen died November 26, 2017. She was born on October 18, 1933 in Corpus Christi, the only child of Delbert and Laurine Bowen. Nancy attended Menger, Wynn Seale, Jr. High, and was in the first graduating class of W.B. Ray High School. She then attended Stephens College in Missouri and received a BBA from The University of Texas. In 1970 she went to work in her father’s real estate business and received a “crash course” in construction in the aftermath of Hurricane Celia. Following the death of her father, Nancy continued operating the business until selling it in 2002. She was a member of the Order of De Pineda, the Junior League, Las Donas de la Corte, Cotillion III, Key Study Club, the Athenian Club, Tri Delta Alumnae, Corpus Christi Country Club and The Church of the Good Shepherd where she served on the Altar Guild and volunteered at The Corner. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
