Noemi S Santana

The Lord has called Noemi Santana, and now she is reunited with her family at her heavenly home, on May 09, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, (Judge) Henry Santana and was the mother of three daughters: Lisa (Rick) Villarreal, Gina (Kevin) McCarville, and Marie Dominique (Nikki) Santana, four grandsons: Matthew, Sebastian, Dylan, and Alex; two brothers: Frank (Mary) and Joe (Dalia) Sanchez, one sister: Ruth (Raul) Ruiz; and many nieces and nephews.
Noemi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&I (now Texas A&M) University in Kingsville, Texas. She also received her master’s degree in Bilingual Education, specializing in reading, from Texas A&I University. She taught School with the Corpus Christi Independent School District for 22 years before retiring. She loved children.
She loved music, playing tennis and had many friends. She sang with the Corpus Christi Chorale for over 20 years. She traveled to New York City to sing at Carnegie Hall and also sang at the largest Cathedral in Paris, France. She also sang at the Cathedral where Handel’s Messiah was first introduced, she enjoyed singing Handel’s Messiah. She also enjoyed singing at the Boar’s Head Festival held at the First Episcopal Church for several years.
She served the Lord by playing the piano at Churches since she was eight years old. She was a member of Kelsey Memorial United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she served as the Church’s pianist. She sang in the church choir, participated in many Easter and Christmas cantatas. She served on the Worship Committee at Church and helped pick out the music for all the services.
She also loved to travel and visited many countries with her husband. Her favorite place was Venice, Italy.
Family will be receiving friends from 10:15 a.m. till service time on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Kelsey Memorial United Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Kelsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 1610 Comanche St. A private burial will be held at Seaside Memorial Park.
