Obituary

Patsy Delgado Hinojosa, age 89 years, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at a local hospital. She was born to Miguel and Candelaria Delgado on August 30, 1929 in Floresville, Texas, where she was raised. She married Clemente “Butch” Hinojosa Jr. and was blessed with 56 years of blissful marriage. Together they raised two children, a daughter, Pearl Cantu and a son, Clemente “Jr.” Hinojosa III, in Corpus Christi, Texas. They later moved to their ranch in Beeville, Texas where they owned and operated a meat market for many years. Eventually, they retired to Corpus Christi to remain close to family. After her husband passed away in 2004, Patsy remained in Corpus Christi with her family.
 
Patsy was a devout Catholic and attended mass at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church and Christ the King Catholic Church. At Saints Cyril and Methodius Church she was involved with the ACTS Retreats. At Christ the King Catholic Church she served as a Eucharist Minister and was a member of various groups including: Guadalupanas, Trinitarians, St. Monica Women’s Group, Altar Society and a prayer group. In her earlier years, she also assisted in organizing Charismatic Conferences.

Throughout her life, Patsy was owner of several business ventures to include, a religious store, flower shop, and bridal shop. She was a tenacious woman who loved her family unconditionally. It was important to her for everyone to know how much she loved them, and she was always the first one to offer a loving hand.
 
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband. Patsy is survived by her children, Pearl Cantu (Benny) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Clemente Hinojosa III (Lidia) of Beeville, Texas, and Candelaria of Phoenix, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. 
 
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
 
Her great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers:  Glen Peters, Jacob Garza, Benjamin Cantu, Brandon Cantu, Rene Cantu, and Christian Cantu.
