Pedro Medina Torres

Pedro M. Torres, age 80, passed away July 9, 2018. He was born on October 21, 1937 to Prajedes and Balbina Torres in Taft, Texas. He was raised in Taft, Texas. He married his wife of 60 years on February 16, 1958. Pedro was a butcher and a heavy machine operator. Pedro was a loving father, son, brother and grandfather.
Pedro participated in church functions at Santo Nino De Alocha-Mission, Tecolote, Texas. He was an avid follower of the Dallas Cowboys. Pedro enjoyed a good hand of poker, dominoes and billiards. He was well known for his Bar B Que and special BBQ sauce. He will be most remembered for his great sense of humor and loyalty to his family and friends.
Pedro is preceded in death by his father and mother, eight siblings: Lupe Mora, Virginia Rangel, Fred Torres, Prajedes Torres, Sylvester Torres, Alvina Gutierrez, Lucio Torres and Palmira Mendoza
Pedro is survived by his wife, Maria Teresa, children: Irene Torres Tabor (Ted), Pete Torres (Angie), Ruby Ann Nichols (Nic), Daniel Torres (Yvette), grandson, Jonathan Lee Torres and granddaughter, Suzette Danielle Torres.
A Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honors to be pallbearers are Daniel Torres, Jonathan Torres, Manuel Franco, Jr., Eric Torres, Jr., Ronnie Torres, and Genaro Gutierrez.
