It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Perfecto Rodriguez, Jr. Perfecto was a loving husband, caring father to his children and Poppy to his grandchildren. Often humorous, he spoke his own lingo and gave loving nicknames to his family members. For decades, Perfecto enjoyed traveling with his family and friends to the hill country and his hometown of Brownsville, Texas. In 1974, he was the first Mexican-American recommended by the Corpus Christi Police Department for training at the National Academy of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Quantico, Virginia. He was a sharpshooter-TopGun, avid reader, and mastered several trades by reading books. Tall and handsome, his charisma was felt when he walked into any room. Perfecto enjoyed an ice-cold beer in the summer time and wild turkey in the winter. The love and affection that he showed to his family is one of his greatest gifts and will never be forgotten.
