Raul Saenz, peacefully entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior on the 25th day of November, 2018.
Raul was a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas since August 1953. He was born on June 2, 1926 to Jose and Benilde Saenz in Hebbronville. Texas. He was 92 years old. He later moved to Kingsville, Texas with his family.
Raul volunteered in the United States Army during World War II. He was sent to the Phillipines and served two years, from 1944-1946.
Afterwards, he enrolled at Texas A & I University earning both Bachelors and Masters Degrees.
Raul and Anita were active members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. They were also members of the Sembradores Club and Sceptre Club.
Raul worked for the Internal Revenue Service during the day and at Del Mar Community College at night. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service after thirty years. After his retirement from Internal Revenue Service, he then taught accounting classes at Del Mar College full time. On weekends, he would go visit his ranches in San Diego.
Raul and Anita married on August 2nd, 1953. Their marriage lasted 65 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Benilde Saenz and his siblings, Maria Montalvo, Aminda Perez, and Alvaro Saenz.
Raul is survived by his loving wife, Anita, and four children: Raul Miguel Saenz, Carl Saenz, Patrick Saenz and Denise Kostoch (Skip), by his siblings: Yolanda Saenz and Graciela Garcia, by his grandchildren: Brian Kostoch, Allison Kostoch, Matthew Gonzales, great-grandchildren: Zariah and Aiden.
