Raymond Thomas “Ray” St. Pierre, age 81, passed away on May 13, 2020. Ray was born to Wanda Borys St. Pierre and Ferdinand St. Pierre and was raised in Springfield, MA. He graduated from American International College in Springfield, MA. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Keith and Dianne Walas and John and Jolie Mayes, and his grandchildren Nicholas Walas, Katelyn Walas, Parker Mayes, and Bennett Mayes. Ray was employed by Fisher Scientific and taught at Oak Ridge Institute in Oak Ridge, TN.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Marsha Bean St. Pierre, and his mother, Wanda Borys St. Pierre.
Ray enjoyed participating in the Padre Island Yacht Club and was an avid member of the Men's Poker Night. He thoroughly enjoyed fellowship at the Friday night happy hours and loved PIYC special events and parties. Everywhere he went, people knew Ray by name and he never met a stranger. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his mischievous nature, and sweet disposition.
Due to COVID limitations, a Funeral service limited to forty friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 18th at the Seaside Funeral Home at 4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX. There will be a small reception with light refreshments at the funeral home following the service. Ray wished to be buried in Warrenton, NC where a graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray's memory to Padre Island Yacht Club or the La Posada Foundation.
