Richard D. Maughan

Richard “Rich” D Maughan, 62, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022. He was born on November 3, 1959, to Max and Georgia Maughan in Corpus Christi, Texas. Rich was a 1982 Corpus Christi State University graduate and a dedicated employee of Allstate Insurance Company in a job that he loved for over 28 years.

Rich was the most loving and devoted husband to his wife Barbara, as well as father to his sons Blake and Brad. He was further blessed to be father-in-law to Kimber and grandfather “G-Pop” to his grandson Grayson. The only thing he cherished more than his family was his relationship with the Lord. Rich was full of life and greeted each day with a smile and a positive attitude. He was a man of integrity; his word was his bond. Rich will always be remembered for his quick wit, his kind nature, and his generous heart. He was a man who was loved by all.

Rich is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Maughan.

He is survived by Barbara Maughan, his wife of nearly 35 years, his sons Blake (Kimber) Maughan of Cibolo, Texas and Brad Maughan of Corpus Christi, Texas, his brothers Donnie Maughan and Doug (Suzanne) Maughan of Corpus Christi, Texas, his sister Bari (Mark) Himelfarb of Little Rock, Arkansas and grandson Grayson Maughan of Cibolo, Texas. In addition, he leaves behind brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm at Seaside Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 1 pm at New Life Church in Corpus Christi, Texas with interment to follow at Seaside Funeral Home.
