Richard C. Prewett
September 5, 1931 ~ November 3, 2023 (age 92) 92 Years Old
Richard C. Prewett, age 92, passed away November 3, 2023. He was born on September 5, 1931 to William Dudley Prewett & Metra McPeak in Little Rock, AR. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army during WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel for the U.S. Army and was awarded the Bronze Star, Silver Star and Purple Hearts.
Richard enjoyed reading, being with his dogs and nature. He was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, the MOCA, the American Legion, the Marine Corps League and others. He received the VFW Rutherford Award, the Caller Times Jefferson Award, a place in the Third Coast Squadron Hall of Fame, and numerous other awards. He will be remembered for his service to veterans and love of animals.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents William and Metra Prewett, his brother William, his sister Francis and his son James.
Left to cherish his memories are Marlene Fordham, his special friend. His children; Richard (Lana) Prewett, Vicky Prewett, and Michael (Penny) Prewett. His grandsons; David Prewett, Michael (Brittany) Prewett, Daniel (Alicia) Brisson and his granddaughter Dee (Doug) Murphey. Along with seven great grandchildren.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as honorary pallbearers are Michael Prewett, Jose Garcia, Frank Garcia, Andy Jabsen, Richard Prewett, Jr., and Michael Prewett, Jr.
