Richard E. Scott

Richard E. Scott, age 75, passed away March 27, 2018. He was born on September 26, 1942 to Edward E. Scott and Lena N. Chandler in Logan, West Virginia. He was raised in Warren, Ohio and graduated from Warren G. Harding in 1961. He served in the United States Navy from October 1961 to February 1966.He was ranked EM 2 (E-5). He served on the USS Roosevelt in the Mediterranean Sea and on the USS Hampshire County in Vietnam.
Richard married his wife, Marilyn Kay Scott, on January 5, 1966; they were married for a beautiful fifty two years.
Richard was employed by General Electric.
Richard enjoyed participating in the lives of his family, grandchildren and poker buddies. He will always be remembered for his quiet nature and devotion to his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always put others before himself.
Richard is preceded in death by his father: Edward E. Scott, mother: Lena N. Chandler, brother: Jerry L. Scott and daughter, Leslie M. Jackson. Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Marilyn Kay Scott of Corpus Christi, Texas; son: Richard J. Scott (Nelda) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Lisa C. Kucala (Stephen) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren: Zachary Jackson (Nikki), Trevor and Kaylea Jackson of Arlington, Texas, John, Schannen and Izabella Scott of Corpus Christi, Texas, Emily and Abigail Kucala of Orlando, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to be pallbearers are: Richard J. Scott, John Edward Scott, Stephen Kucala, Damon L. Jackson, Trevor K. Jackson and Zachary Jackson.
