Richard B. Wyckoff

Richard B. Wyckoff, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2023 from Parkinson's Disease. He was known to many as Rick. Born April 7, 1941 to Harry and Mary Ann Wyckoff in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He grew up in Old Bridge, New Jersey.

After graduating in 1959, he briefly joined the Navy. In 1961, He was stationed in N.A.S. Naval Base Corpus Christi and met the love of His life, Mary Alice Landin, at Picks Drive-In. They married on February 6, 1962 and spent 61 years together. While in the Military Service, Rick and Alice moved to Mayport, Florida where Rick was assigned to the U.S.S. Yellowstone. In addition, Rick's excellent marksmanship, he was assigned to be a driver for Generals and others in high ranking positions in Jacksonville, Florida. After His discharge from the Navy, Rick and Alice settled down in Corpus Christi, Texas, where they spent 61 years together living and raising their family. Rick, was employed with Coastal States Refinery for 30 years before He Retired. 

Rick was often described as a "one of a kind". He is survived by His wife, Mary Alice, His children Lance A. Wyckoff and Diane G. Ashline and His seven great-grandchildren. His sisters, June Astone of Brick, New Jersey, Diane Kane of Barnegat, New Jersey and brother, William Wyckoff of Manahawkin, New Jersey.

Rick was preceded in death by His parents, Harry and Mary Ann Wyckoff and His grandchildren, Sharon Dornwell and Kevin Roberts.

Relative and Friends are respectfully invited to attend His Services on Friday, September 29. 2023 at 1:00 pm at Seaside Reid Mausoleum Chapel, 4357 Ocean Drive, Texas 78412. Entombment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
