Obituary

Robert Garza Jr., age 64, passed away on 8 June 2022. He was born on 20 June 1957 to Robert Julian and Viola De Los Santos in Nueces County. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1975. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979. He served the Marine Corps honorably and faithfully, he fulfilled his time and service as a Corporal.

He married his high school sweetheart Irene Hernandez on 20 March 1975. Robert Garza Jr. was a loving husband, father, father in law, and grandfather. He lived his life whole heartedly and lived it with a selfless act of kindness and generosity, he touched many hearts and comforted many souls until his last breath, he was the example set by God of what and Angel should be.

Robert Garza Jr. enjoyed participation in Church, sports, conversing about the Bible and especially his family. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, generosity sense of faith and confidence in Jesus Christ, kindness, devotion to family, he loved God first always, his wife Irene, his sons Robert, Aaron, and his late son Marcus. He was a loving grandfather to Robert James, Ana Maria, Josiah Deshawn, Sarah Christine, Jacob Nasir, and Christopher Matthew. He was an amazing father in law to his daughter in laws, always ready to assist or support the family at a moment’s notice; whether lending an ear to listen, give advice, or picking the kids up or dropping them off at school or practice.

Robert Garza Jr. is preceded in death by his late son Marcus Anthony Garza.

Robert Garza Jr. is survived by his wife Irene Hernandez, sons Robert Erik, Aaron Jason, grandkids, Robert James, Ana Maria, Josiah DeShawn, Sarah Christine, Jacob Nasir, and Christopher Matthew, daughter in laws, father Robert Julian, sister Sandra Ann, brothers John Anthony, and Roderick James, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and pets.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on 30 June 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on 1 July 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
