Ronald Dean Flores

Ronald D. Flores, 62, passed away with family by his side on Saturday June 11, 2022 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was raised mostly in Corpus Christi, although he enjoyed living in other locations with his family as they traveled with the Navy. He was a 1978 Graduate of W.B. Ray High School and cherished the friendships made through his school age years.

Ron began his work career with CPL and transitioned to AEP. He remained a loyal and dedicated employee until his untimely death.

Ron loved his family, friends and life. If you were his friend, you were family. There are so many friends who will forever cherish their memories of Ron. His love of the outdoors especially hunting and fishing will always be remembered by those who loved him and shared his passion. Ron especially enjoyed playing the game of pool and was involved in many leagues and tournaments. Ron was a loving father, son, husband, uncle and friend.

He is survived by wife Rose Leal- Flores, parents Francisco (Pancho) and Cleo Flores; children; Sean Michael Flores, Christopher Michael Flores, and Chelsea Nicole Flores; stepson Matthew Esquivel; sisters, Nancy (Jim) Fitzgerald, Sharon Perales and a very special brother-in-law Jaime Leal (Cunado).

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Sean M. Flores, Chris Flores, Matthew Esquivel, Jaime Leal, Evaristo Gonzales and Benny Trevino. Having the honor to serve as honorary pallbearers are Glenn Vasquez and Leo Zarate Jr.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on June 15, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on June 16, 2022 at Most Precious Blood Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
