Obituary

SFC Ronald Edgar Jeffers, Jr., 60, passed away April 5, 2021. He was born on December 18, 1960 to Ronald Edgar Jeffers, Sr. and Beverly Lou Pyle Jeffers in Wheeling, WV. He was raised in St. Clairsville, OH and graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1979. Ron enlisted in the Unites States Army reserves during his senior year of High School.
 
After graduation, Ronald joined Active Duty service where he served as a Counter-Intelligence Agent for over 17 years. Ron gave 6 years of Foreign Service in Berlin, Bosnia and Korea before retiring from the Army as Sergeant First Class in 1998. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal (with bronze oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal (with 4 bronze Oak Leaf clusters), among many others.
 
After military retirement, Ronald enjoyed a successful career as an Information Security Architect, for various defense and corporate programs, until his final retirement in 2018. Ron married his wife of over 13 years on November 6, 2007. Ronald was a loving husband, son, father, brother and uncle. He was very much loved and appreciated by his family and friends.
 
Ronald is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Stella Jeffers; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Margaret Pyle; and two sisters, Carol Joy and Sally Lee.
 
Ron is survived by his parents; wife, Michelle; and son, Quinn of Corpus Christi, TX; daughters, Meghan Simmons (John) of Detroit, MI and Mairen Lane (Jason) of Wasilla, AK; sons, Silas and Ian Jeffers of Aledo, TX; sister, Terri Valentine (William) of Byesville, OH; sister, Paula Lucey (Mark) of Reading, PA; sister, Leslie Marlin (Keith) of Middletown, DE; many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, OH, immediately followed by prayer service led by Mark Statler at 1:00 p.m. then graveside service and interment with full military honors at Warnock Cemetery.
