Samuel Matthew Peña, age 51, passed away on November 27, 2017. Samuel Matthew Peña was born on September 19, 1966 to Juan Peña, Jr. and Nazaria A. Peña. He attended Mary Carroll High School where he served as President of Student Council and graduated from in May of 1985. Samuel enjoyed karaoke, participating in benefits, sightseeing, traveling, taking pictures and gathering with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, quiet nature, sense of adventure, service in the community and his devotion to his family and friends. He enjoyed discussing politics. Samuel was a very spiritual person and took pleasure in watching movies and t.v. Samuel Matthew Peña was a loving son, brother and uncle.
Samuel Matthew Peña is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eliseo and Julia Andrade and paternal grandparents, Juan R. Peña and Susie G. Bonillas, uncles, Benito Cirlos and Joe Hector Peña. He is survived by his parents, Juan and Nazaria Peña, brothers, John C. Peña, Reuben A. Peña and wife Cynthia Peña, and Jose A. Peña, and sister, Katherine A. Peña, nieces, Ashlynn A. Gomez, Kaylyn J. Gonzalez, Alexandria N. Peña, and Cassandra N. Peña, nephews, Zackery, Michael Brian, Justin, Reuben A., Jr., Allan M., Johnathan, and Joseph all Peña’s, uncles, Alfonso Cirlos, Mariano Peña, and Eliseo Andrade, Jr., aunts, Irene(Reynaldo)Cipriano, Maria(Abraham)Torrez, Minerva Moreno, Rosario Hernandez, Angelita Andrade, and Julia (James) Difiore and numerous uncles, aunts, great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Seaside Reid Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
