Sandra F. Younger

Sandra Faye Younger passed away on May 14, 2022. She was born on September 17, 1939 in Coolidge, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1957. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Corpus Christi and a master’s degree from Texas A&I Kingsville. She was employed by Corpus Christi ISD for 33 years as a teacher, reading consultant, principal and Director of Elementary Education.

Sandra enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends and was a member of the Bluff Stuff RV Travel Club. She enjoyed her needlepoint and a good game of cards. But, most of all, she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Sandra is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Thomas Younger; son-Darrell Lamar Dunlap; sister Mary Wilbanks; grandson-Michael Dunlap; brothers-in-law Randy Wilbanks and Fred Scarborough; sister-in-law-Peggy Allen.

Sandra is survived by daughter, Kathy Faulks (Jake Gleason), step-son Cole Younger (Melanie), step-daughter Lesli Younger; nine grandchildren Jennifer Walters (Jerrod), Bryan Dunlap, Alyssa Abney, Madison Dunlap, Logan Dunlap, Peyton Faulks, Kaitlyn Younger, Lindsay Faulks and Kenzie Younger; brother-in-law Joe Younger (Anne), sisters-in-law Doris Yeager(Mearle), Joyce Younger and Nadene Scarborough.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Seaside Reid Chapel with a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. Services will conclude in Chapel.
