Sarah J. Gonzales

Sarah J. Gonzales, 91, passed away April 27, 2018. Sarah was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, San Antonio, Texas. She graduated in 1950 from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Sarah worked as a Registered Nurse for 17 years at the Corpus Christi Health Department.

Sarah loved spending time with family, playing cards and reading.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benjamin G. Gonzales. Sarah is survived by her daughters, Dolores (Jesse) Mendoza and Esther (Alan) Gonzales- Garry, son, Benjamin (Mary) Gonzales, granddaughters, Andrea and Alexandra Gonzales and sisters, Beatrice Barron and Elidia Mercado.

The family would like to thank caregivers Lorena Cortinas, Christine Monreal and Dora Garcia for their loving care. We would also like to thank Altus Hospice for the care they provided.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Sunday April 29, 2018 at Seaside Reid Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
