Sara Michelle Murphy, 37 years old, passed away February 24, 2018, along with her dog, Indie Murphy. She was born on December 14, 1980 to Bill and Mary Murphy in Huntington, West Virginia. She was raised in Hurricane, West Virginia. She graduated from Mountaineer Challenge Academy and Florida College of Natural Health. Sara was employed by Tow Boat US. Sara had been a boat captain, gifted massage therapist, talented kite board instructor and duck hunting guide.
Sara will be remembered for her love of all types of people and the ocean. Her sense of adventure and helping others in need will forever be remembered by many.
Sara is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ray H. Murphy and uncle, Kenneth R. Murphy.
Sara is survived by her daughter, Ocean Kyra Williams and her daughter’s father, Donald Williams, Parents, Bill and Mary Murphy, sibling, Matthew Murphy, Grandparents, Richmond Hicks, Kyra Sue Hicks, Audrey Murphy, aunts and uncles Pamela Boyett, Cathy Burns, Dale Burns, cousins, William DeCray, Richmond DeCray, Tommy Boyett, Daniel Murphy, Katie Burns, Kelsie Burns and in addition to a host of loving relatives.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home, Corpus Christi, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home. A surfer wake, paddle out and gathering will take place at Mikel Mays immediately following Sara Murphy’s Celebration of Life Service.
