Sherry V. Cruz

Sherry Cruz, age 78, passed away June 5, 2019. She was born on October 28, 1940 to Forrest and Leona Kirby in Sweetwater, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sherry was a loving mother, who will always be remembered for her love of life and creative spirit. She took great joy in repurposing items into “yard art” or furniture reflecting her unique sense of style. She loved her two dachshunds Zues and Hera.
Sherry is preceded in death by her son Rex Vinyard, her parents Forrest and Leona Kirby and her brother GJ “Butch” Kirby. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Kelly Cagle, son Tad Vinyard and brother and his spouse Johnny and Cindy Kirby. She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother to Jason Cagle, Jennifer Rhodes and spouse Josh Smith and Michelle Vinyard, great granddaughter Skylar Smith. Her two dogs Hera and Zues will miss her dearly. She is further survived by her two cherished friends Marty Henneke and Debbie Trosper.
