Stephen R. Henderson

Stephen R. Henderson, age 56, passed away April 1, 2024. He was born on October 28, 1967 to Wilfer and Dossie Henderson in Magnolia, Arkansas, where he was raised and graduated from Walker High School in 1986.

Stephen enlisted in the Navy and served over 20 years, receiving several awards, including the Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global Ware Navy Sea Service Development Ribbon, Navy & Marine Corps Overseas Ribbon, Armed Forces Medal, Marksman Rifleman Ribbon and Pistol Shot Ribbon XX.

Stephen married his wife, Sylvia, of 30 years on August 21, 1993.  He was employed by Spectrum.

Stephen was a loving father to his twins, daughter Starr and son, Skyy.  Stephen was brother to: James, Wilfer Jr., Kenny, Jarvis, Jean and Jerrie. Brother-In-Law to: Tommy, Sonny, Janice, Traci, Charles, Stevie, Shirly, Randy, Alexander, Eliza, Author, Rickie and Jeanie; and an uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Stephen enjoyed being Captain of his High School basketball team and loved playing basketball with his son Skyy and dancing with his daughter, Super Starr.  Most of all, he loved laughing and watching comedy shows, and watching the Spurs beat the Rockets with his wife, Sylvia.

Inurnment with Military Honors will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:00pm at Seaside Memorial Park.
