Violet June Gohlke

Violet June Gohlke, age 86, passed away April 17, 2021. She was born on June 5, 1934 to Robert and Alwina Heldt in Nordheim, TX, were she was raised and graduated from Nordheim High School in 1951.
Violet married her husband, Wilbert, of 62 years on June 17, 1951. Violet was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with family and gardening. She will always be remembered for her devotion to family. She made sure her children were in church every Sunday and in her last days she would watch hours of church services on television. Her life was all about her children and their families. Everyone who knew her loved her and she will be missed dearly.
Violet is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alwina Heldt; husband, Wilbert Lee Gohlke; brothers, Roland, Arnold, Eddie and Robert Heldt; sisters, Georgie, June Nell, Marilyn, Francis, and Olivia.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; daughter, Deborah Lynn Bynum and husband Douglas Bynum; son, Daniel Lee Gohlke and wife Lenora, and their daughter, Sharon Gohlke; son, Stephen Gohlke and wife Shanna; 14 grandchildren; 17, almost 18, great-grandchildren; and all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 21, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on April 22, 2021 at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are; Daniel Gohlke, Jr., Jonathan Gohlke, Paul Bynum, Colby Bynum, Dustin Bynum, Colton Gohlke, Connor Gohlke, and David Gerlach.
