Virginia Ann Gober

Virginia Ann Jarrett Mayo Gober, 86, passed away on Friday, January 21,2022, at Grace House, Austin TX, surrounded by her family.

Virginia was born to Alonzo and Opal Jarrett, May 8, 1935, in Harlingen, TX. She graduated from Harlingen High School, along with her high school sweetheart, Roy Mayo, in 1953, and were married shortly thereafter.  Roy, who worked for Braniff Airways and Southwest Airlines, allowed them to travel extensively, all while raising 3 kids, and Virginia working in the banking industry.

After the passing of her husband Roy, she later married Rue Gober and enjoyed many adventures together, until his passing in 2014. Her family and extended family, was her most loved treasure. She had a generous and fun loving soul, to all who knew her. 

She is survived by son, Roy Dale Mayo (Pamela) of McAlester, OK; daughters, Gina Barrera (Carlos) of Dripping Springs, TX and Laurie Billington (Keith) of Lago Vista,TX; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be grandsons, Eric Barrera, Andrew Barrera, Zachary Billington, Maxwell Jackson, Matthew Mayo and Kevin Mayo
